Transition Kelly
Mathematics
In Transition Kelly we have been looking at weight, length and capacity. To explore capacity the students have been using different sized containers and filling them with popcorn kernels and discussing which cup holds more and which container is empty, full or half-full. Using playdough students have been making long and short legs on monsters, whiskers on cats, stems on flowers and strings on kites. Students enjoyed exploring if the teddy bears weighed more than the dominoes during the weighing rotation. We have also been using Bee-Bots in technology and discussing direction and location.
