Inquiry Based Learning

WHAT IS INQUIRY AND WHAT ARE ITS FEATURES?

Inquiry is an approach to teaching that strengthens student’s ability to make meaning of the task ahead of them. Inquiry is fundamental in ensuring that students are active participants in their own learning and take on many different roles. In the context of today’s classrooms Inquiry leads to a more grounded student who can make meaning of real life situations.

Inquiry tackles many different learning approaches and principles that include multi-sensory. It involves being flexible, concept driven, creative, setting up an equitable learning environment and making room for student choice.

At Zuccoli we follow the recommendations and Educational knowledge of Kath Murdoch’s Power of Learning Inquiry approach.
